Carolina Menkes was born in the capital of Brazil, Brasília, in 1987.
She always liked Portuguese and read a lot. That is why she chose Journalism to study during university and it was the course in which she graduated in 2009, at the University of Brasilia ( UnB ). Since then she have worked in the area in different press agencies . She is is currently a press officer in the Federal Council of Veterinary Medicine.
She also works with revision and translation, including during her jobs as a journalist. Recently she was part of the proofreader team of the final report of the National Truth Commission, which investigated cases of torture during the dictatorship in Brazil.
She is a freelancersas proofreader and translator and is always available to discuss any project. An avid reader of Channeled Messages, she did not think twice when she saw the translator application,. Now, Carolina hopes to contribute, with her translations, to inspire people who read this website, independent of their nationality or language.
